Molehill – I’m Okay

Here’s a nice little change of pace for all you loyal WIMPs out there.  I ran into the band’s pianist, Greg VZ, out one night in Chicago and I’m glad I did.  Greg was nice enough to send over some music for me to checkout, and quite frankly I was pleasantly surprised.  Molehill’s overall sound is almost hard to put into words.  They blend a little bit of blues, R & B, and electro, with some hard hitting, high energy rock to create something very new and refreshing.  Although This is Molehill’s first time on the site, I’m sure it won’t be their last.  To get to know the band a little better, I posted a little blurb form their website below:

Molehill’s co-founder and frontman Peter Manhart moved the group to Chicago from Champaign in 2006, and they released their debut record Rock & Mole in late 2007. Since 2008 Peter has been joined by Trevor Jones (bass), Devin Staples (drums) and Greg Van Zuiden (keyboards and vocals).

Since 2009 Molehill has toured throughout the Midwest and East Coast and along the way has opened for major label acts including Bret Michaels, Blind Melon, Royal Bliss, and The Elms. In 2010 Molehill showcased at the Millennium Music Conference in Harrisburg, PA and was featured twice in the Red Eye (Chicago Tribune Pop Publication) along with features in numerous local print and online publications.

Be sure to check out more Molehill on their website here, and on Twitter here.  Video and download posted below.
